Press communication
Nozzole Chianti Classico, Cabreo, Brunello La Fuga and other wines of the Tuscan Estates of Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari celebrated the “Florentine Steak” return in Milan.
A lot of friends, journalists and clients tasted those wines during an important dinner which was organized on Tuesday 14th March 2006 in Milan thanks to the precious aid of the ancient Falorni butcher’ shop and to Danilo Angé, the new restaurant Forma’s chef, to celebrate the return of one of the most precious and traditional Italian dishes: “the steak”.
There are three traditional rules that say the Florentine Steak has to be made of a kind of bovine meat called Chianina, it has to be cooked on hot embers of firewood and has to be served with Italian vineyard Sangiovese only.
So there are all Italian flavours and scents, both in the simple essentiality of this meat and in the elegant, soft, traditional quality of important wines such as: Nozzole Chianti Classico 2003 Nozzole Chianti Classico Riserva La Forra 2001 TorCalvano Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva 2001 La Fuga Brunello di Montalcino 2001
Those are four noble products, four different DOCG wines of the main vineyard of Tuscany which exalt four different flavours of the steak that Mr Falorni obtained cutting it in four different ways in a masterly manner.
Chef Danilo Angé made the other dishes for the dinner, he made dishes of haute cuisine which they served with other three wines of Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari estates: Cabreo, Il Pareto (Nozzole) and Campo al Mare Bolgheri. Those are wines that come from different vineyards such as Cabernot, Merlot and Sangiovese again.
The agricultural company Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute owns nearly 350 ha of different kinds of vineyards and it was founded by Ambrogio Folonari and his children at the end of the year 2000 after they separated from all the other members of Folonari family.
So there’s a new project for the Italian wine based on eight vineyard estates, above all in Tuscany, located in the most important DOCG and DOC places such us: Tenuta di Nozzole (Chianti Classico) Tenute del Cabreo Fattoria di Gracciano Svetoni (Vino Nobile di Montepulciano) Tenuta Campo al Mare (Bolgheri) Tenuta La Fuga (Brunello di Montalcino) Tenuta Vigne a Porrona (Grosseto) Tenuta di Novacuzzo (Colli orientali del Friuli)
That’s a “cru” which the company obtained being involved in every step of production (from the vines to the bottles) and following serious quality rules to respect the tradition and to testify that territory’s values and high quality. |
