The 2015 vintage, with its exceptionally normal rhythms, gave us an incredible Brunello, once again true to itself.

A beautiful, generous, mellow vintage, well-balanced in numbers that allowed the time to develop a wine that has its sensory strength in harmony. During the Brunello vinification, the oenologist is only the assistant to the time: a minimum period of five full years of ripeness represent the maximum expression of the love that exists between time and wine, the perfect space for them to resonate.

La Fuga Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2015 was born through the balance of harvest, in order to achieve a sensory harmony. All the transformations it has gone through are exclusively outcomes of the time, it is an example of how the Sangiovese grapes manage to change and to evolve into seasoned wood. A wine in which the aromas play like a symphony orchestra, without dominant descriptors.

In the Tenuta La Fuga estate, the smallest of the Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute family group, only seasoned, and not toasted, wood is used, therefore barrels that belong to the traditions, to the Italian culture, with a seasoning of over a year for each centimetre of the stave thickness. These are the details that create excellence and elegance in the glass.

Oenologist Roberto Potentini describes La Fuga Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2015 as follows: “Our interpretation of Brunello is that of a wine of great style that does not follow trends, but is born from tradition and follows it faithfully, through the endless effort to constantly improve. It is not a wine that surprises for its strength: it fascinates for its harmony.”

The estate produces La Fuga Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Le Due Sorelle Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG and La Fuga Rosso di Montalcino DOC, prestigious versions of the Sangiovese Grosso grapes aged in Italian oak barrels.
