Created by Ambrogio Folonari, this wine is produced in Panzano in Chianti, where he began investing in the 1970s, helping shape the evolution of modern Tuscan wine. Here, galestro and alberese soils, combined with pronounced day-to-night temperature variation, give rise to a Sangiovese of remarkable elegance and distinctive character. The 2021 growing season began with a mild, rainy winter that led to early budbreak. After a cool April, warm summer temperatures in Panzano were tempered by cool nights. Ideal weather throughout September and October ensured slow, even ripening and exceptional fruit quality.
