Petit Verdot is part of the history of the Bolgheri area, where the perfect territorial and environmental suitability is combined with an ancient wine culture, which manages to enhance the most intimate essence
of the vines. The use of a single grape variety represents an oenological rarity in the Bolgheri wine scene and Gallico expresses the enhancement of the territory and its heritage through a glass characterised by a modern and original sensory profile.
Tasting: The 2019 vintage is strongly based and marked by its grape variety, which reveals hints of rhubarb, dried tea, aromatic herbs, but also pepper and aubergine. Mouthfeel sensations such as pepper and cinnamon, with relevant and silky tannins, but never astringent. An intense royal purple colour with purplish reflections.
Pairing: we suggest to pair it with stewed hare and aged cheeses.
First vintage: 2019
Shelf life: up to 20 years
