Pietra del Cabreo opens its doors

An exclusive jewel in the lands of the Chianti Classico completes our hospitality offer.

On the hills around Greve in Chianti, among the vineyards where Cabreo is produced, a new Charming Relais is born. Pietra del Cabreo is ready to welcome those who want to lose themselves in the Tuscan countryside and experience the most authentic traditions of these territories.

The rebirth of this ancient settlement is the peak of an important project to promote the territory and its most authentic traditions.

A sober elegance for an exclusive jewel.

The buildings have been brought back to life while maintaining continuity with the surrounding area. Thanks to its 11 rooms and suites, perfect in every detail and enriched with unique and tastefully selected artworks and decorations, Pietra del Cabreo transmits a genuine “Tuscan way of life” made of sober elegance.

For its realisation, the best Km 0 local workers were used, heirs of the great Florentine tradition of arts and crafts and historical partners of Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute. Excellent materials have also been used, respecting the original construction methods. Thanks to this synergy of craftsmen and materials, an authentic “good retreat” of wild beauty has been created.

The Relais, one of a kind, has been furnished by carefully choosing furniture that could give continuity and modernity to a rooted and ancient tradition: refined fabrics, natural linen that blends with the greenery of the countryside, textiles and sofas with warm colours, cotto dell’Impruneta floors, oak wood, wrought iron, paintings found in the antique markets, marble tops. All this to make this place magical, elegant and sober, but at the same time capable of releasing a strong energy.

The spaces outside Pietra del Cabreo are perfectly integrated into the landscape allowing the eye to sweep up to Florence, furthermore they enjoy large common areas and a splendid swimming pool next to the vineyards characterised by a breath-taking view. The gardens are embellished by imposing native trees, field maples, cypresses, ash trees, and a magnificent rose garden with flowers and plants that evoke the warm nuances of the interiors giving glimpses of the Tuscan landscapes.

Pietra del Cabreo, in addition to the abundant buffet breakfast, offers the possibility to dine on the splendid terrace enjoying traditional Tuscan dishes proposed in a modern way. Guests also have access to a beautiful private tennis court in the heart of the countryside.

The two Cabreo’s relais “inside the vineyard”

The two charming relais Pietra del Cabreo and Borgo del Cabreo, pay tribute to the Supertuscan wines made on these hills by Tenute Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari, La Pietra Chardonnay Toscana IGT and Cabreo il Borgo Toscana IGT, creating an indissoluble link between wine production and hospitality.

The link between hospitality and winemaking is an important element of continuity of the two Cabreo’s relais, both because the structures are surrounded by vineyards, and for the possibility offered to guests to make interesting personalised wine tasting itineraries in the Shop and Tasting Point and the Historic Cellar of Tenuta di Nozzole.

In addition to wine tastings, both Cabreo’s Relais are an ideal starting point for walks, bike or car trips to discover Tuscan nature and culture. Renowned places all over the world such as Greve in Chianti, Montefioralle, the numerous Romanesque churches scattered in the countryside, the beautiful Badia di Passignano, Radda in Chianti and the well-known San Gimignano, are easily reachable with daily tour.

The staff of the two Cabreo’s charming relais is also at your disposal to suggest other activities to make your holiday even more pleasant, such as guided tours, balloon flights, truffle hunting, cooking or painting courses. There will also be advice on choosing the best restaurants in the area.
